Who makes my hammock?
One named artisan from the Arhuaco, Kogui, Wiwa or Wayuu communities weaves your piece from beginning to end. Their name, village and the date of completion are recorded on the certificate of authenticity.
How long does a hammock take to make?
Between 160 and 240 hours of weaving, which is three to eight weeks depending on size and density. We never rush a loom.
What are they made from?
Hand-spun native cotton, wool from the Sierra Nevada, or fique fibre, dyed with plants and minerals gathered locally. No synthetics and no chemical fixatives.
Does it come with packaging?
Yes. Every hammock is delivered in a premium reusable luxury bag with the certificate of authenticity — ready to give as it is.
How much weight can one hold?
Standard sizes are tested to 200 kg and family sizes to 300 kg. Suspension hardware is not included; use certified hardware rated above your hammock's limit.
Is my purchase supporting the weavers directly?
Yes. We buy at a price the artisan sets, pay in full before the piece leaves the community, and reinvest a share of every sale into weaving schools.
